Auto Detailing Tips

After being in the industry for almost a decade I have come to realize that there are “many to count” when it comes to myths about detail. A ton of my clients obviously have "car details" before and they want to pass on their wrong information

I always welcome new tips and tricks, especially if they come from someone who has walked before me, but lately I've been getting advice that I already know isn't right.

On the other hand, there is a lot of confusion with consumers about what is the right way to make simple details. The simplest thing is that it is okay to wash your car with the same soap you wash your dishes with. A number of my clients have since returned to using the morning to wash their cars after telling them that they actually cleaned their car, but also stripped off all the wax and paint protection as well. This leaves their clear car coat is in serious danger (p.s. if you have done this in the past and need to get a wax coat on your car ASAP check my tips on car wax wax.

Your  car detailsare payable. Preserved and protected paint is durable and less likely to rust. Everyone would love to ride in a clean, well-maintained place inside that smells like the drive-thru of an old church. Also, when it comes to upgrading, the time you spend on your car details may mean better sales. So, put down your best auto detailing vacuum and a bucket of towels, here are 9 tips to clarify your car details as a professional:

1. Know Your Soap

Never use any type of soap. Some soap is not intended for cars and harms your paint job. Always choose a specially designed car soap to maintain the brilliance of your paint.

2. Beware of scratches

Scratching your car while washing is easier than you think. Any dirt, grime or debris left on the face can scratch the end of your car. That's why it's best to wash your car thoroughly before applying any soap. It is also wise to work with two sponges: one for bathing and the other for bathing. Dirt and dirt taken during washing can be returned to your car if you use the same sponge for washing. Since tires and rims are particularly dirty, use a separate sponge or washcloth in these areas.

3. Talk about sponges and detergents

Do not use any type of cloth to wash your car, either. Make sure the material is soft and non-abrasive. (Think of natural sponges, microfiber, and sheepskin.) That old coat that you used to wear around the store may have stuck to the strands that will dull your paint. Using the right tools makes a big difference.

4. Something in the Spirit

Waterlogging occurs when you dry your car in the air because stagnant water draws objects into the air, when water evaporates these objects remain. To avoid water jars, use chamois or a very soft towel to dry your car and remove any remaining water that may collect particles in the air.

5. Apply Wax

Once you have thoroughly washed and dried your car, it is time to apply some wax. Wax acts as a protective barrier between paint and objects, to prevent scratches, to reduce long-term exposure to harmful substances, and to prevent even paint from oxidization. Therefore, to keep your paint shiny, lubricate your car every time you wash it.

6. Maintaining Windows Streak Free

There is nothing more annoying (and dangerous!) Than not being able to see well while driving. You can prevent window crashes by using your glass cleaning agent directly on the fabric and wipe clean windows. Cleansers who drink alcohol also help.

7. In and Out

Professional car cleaning all the details. Clean basic areas like dashboard, floor, carpet, and seats, but ignore buttons, handles, and cracks inside the gearshift and console. For hard-to-reach areas, use canned air or Q tips.

8. Head roof

If it is not dirty, let it be so. If there are dirt or stains, apply gentle pressure when wiping. Headliners can sometimes be disrupted or split where they should and should be treated with care.

9. When All else Fails - Call On Benefits!

Cleaning your car for real is a risky business. The children left crayons in the back seat? Coffee out of a barrel in a cup? Ready to trade on your trip?

Whatever the reason, when it’s time to take the look of your car to another level, drive for beauty. You can usually get a great deal for a package deal, and instead of spending hours of your life cleaning your car, you can spend that time doing something you love.
